This week, we dove into Romans 4 with stomachs full of asian food, thanks to a wonderful asian themed potluck. Romans 4 discusses the faith of Abraham and exactly how people are counted as righteous. Often, when people learn they are saved by God through faith, they start to worry whether they have enough faith. During our study we learned that it is Jesus Christ who saves us, not our feelings or actions. In fact, Romans 4 says, “When people work, their wages are not a gift, but something they have earned. But people are counted as righteous, not because of their work, but because of their faith in God who forgives sinners.” Faith is believing and trusting in Jesus Christ and reaching out to accept his wonderful gift of salvation. While as humans we can never been perfect or sinless, we can have faith like Abraham and ultimately this faith will lead us to salvation.

Attention:

This coming week, Sunday July 14th 2013 we will NOT be meeting at DAA. Instead we are meeting at Del Nuner’s house for a family friendly outdoor bible study.  Jacob and Kym have some fun activities planned starting at 4PM, so be there or be square!  If you hate fun, you can arrive later, the potluck will begin at 5pm (think cold dishes and finger food pot-luck) and the  bible study will start at 6PM. Alissa will be leading a fun, family friendly bible study that we can all enjoy together.

Join us at:

The Nuner’s
