Part 1: The Gospel
Big idea: What Gospel are you truly living by?
Main Point: Grounded in Jesus
Prophetic Thought: We live in an age of information—the newest, best inventions at our fingertips, people offering and promising the best way to live healthy, successful lives. The promises that everything will work out for the better can leave us betrayed, frustrated, and hurt when we are let down. The hope that we must cling to in the noise of the world is Jesus. That His goodness does stand the test of time, that He will not fail us, and that His grace will always come through.
Application: It hurts when people we love walk away from the truth, but that doesn’t change the truth. The Gospel is unchanging—even when we change, even when others change, and even when we choose not to believe. The challenge for us is to identify where we may have gone off course.
What road have we been on? Take time for honest reflection on the beliefs or practices you've picked up that don't align with Christ's grace alone.
Are we still grounded in Jesus? What would it look like to slow down and not rush? Being grounded means being willing to hear a "no" or a "not now" from God, trusting His timing over our own.
This is a call to focus on our faithfulness, especially when everyone else is transient and follows whatever beliefs are loudest and most convenient. Staying grounded in the true Gospel is our only anchor in the noise.
