Jacob Powers
Lead Pastor
Jacob serves as the Lead Pastor at The Heights Church, though he will be the first to tell you he is just as comfortable preaching a sermon as he is scrubbing a toilet. With a heart for the Gospel and a deep love for the community, Jacob is passionate about helping people grow in their faith and discover who God created them to be.
Outside of church, Jacob is a wrestling coach and a mentor to young athletes. He and his family love spending time together on their property in Fruitland—hunting, exploring, and staying active outdoors.
Jacob’s journey with Jesus began a little later in life. He did not grow up in church or attend youth group, but he remembers one vivid childhood moment of his father reading the Bible on their farm. That brief glimpse of faith would later take root. After leaving home in 1997 and serving in the military, Jacob’s life took a turn as God began to reveal Himself more clearly. That personal transformation eventually led him to full-time ministry and a calling to plant The Heights Church in Airway Heights.
Jacob brings grit, humility, and a servant’s heart to everything he does, and he continues to lead The Heights with a deep commitment to the people of this community and the mission of Jesus.

Kym Powers
Co-Pastor
Kym Powers is the Co-Lead Pastor of The Heights Church and the heart behind much of what makes our church feel like home. Over the years, she has served in nearly every area of ministry, often behind the scenes—planning events, supporting teams, and bringing creative ideas to life. While she wears many hats, her greatest joy comes from leading creative arts, pouring into women through Sisterhood, and serving on our sound, media, and worship teams.
Outside of ministry, Kym works in pediatric dentistry and brings the same compassion and care she shows at church into her work and relationships. Her happy place is at their family property on Lake Roosevelt, where she loves paddleboarding, working out, reading a good book, and catching up with friends over coffee.
Kym’s faith story is one of transformation and deep surrender. Although she said “yes” to Jesus at a young age, she describes much of her early life as being a “BNW” [believer not a walker]. Through high school and college, her faith remained more of a label than a lifestyle—until a friend’s challenge, a meaningful hike, and a life-changing church service stirred something deeper. That season marked a turning point. Kym recommitted her life to Christ, stopped dating, began serving, and walked boldly into a season of healing and restoration.
That new foundation in Christ became the groundwork for everything that followed—including meeting Jacob, whose third date with Kym was at church. Today, she continues to lead alongside him with grace, strength, and a heart deeply rooted in Christ.

Alissa Webb
Associate Pastor
Alissa Webb serves as the Executive Pastor at The Heights Church, where she oversees a variety of ministry areas, HUB operations, and the day-to-day management of our facilities. She brings strong leadership, a love for people, and a heart for creating spaces where others can grow in faith and connection.
Alissa is also a proud military spouse and a committed pastor who sees her role as both a calling and a privilege. Whether she is helping teams run smoothly or supporting the spiritual life of the church, Alissa leads with wisdom, warmth, and a servant’s heart.
When she is not working, you will likely find Alissa playing board games, learning the art of hand embroidery, exploring new places with her husband, or making friends with every cat that crosses her path.
