Protected for a Purpose

Big Idea: God’s promises are certain—even when the path is not.
In Acts 23:12–35, we see a deadly conspiracy form against the Apostle Paul—more than forty men vow not to eat or drink until he’s dead. But God’s promise that Paul would testify in Rome cannot be thwarted. Through surprising means—a young nephew, a Roman commander, and an armed escort—Paul is protected and moved safely forward. This message explores how God uses both the ordinary and the obscure to fulfill His purposes, reminds us that passion without truth is dangerous, and challenges us to trust God’s promises, even when the path ahead is unclear.
