The way

Big Idea: When two ways collide

Too often, we live our lives like the Burger King motto: "Have it your way." We want what we want when we want it, and if anyone challenges our status quo, you better watch out. Yet, as followers of Jesus, we choose to live life in a new way. We will face opposition from outside influences and inside forces. The tension lies when we come face to face with knowing what's right and living it. We can find ourselves justifying our struggles (like immorality, corruption, a lack of self-control, or greed), living in the tension between what we do and what we know is right. The Gospel forces us to come face to face with who we want to be over who we used to be. In Christ, we are made into a new creation with a new hope and the power to overcome the challenges we face.
